The Problem: The Major CO2 Culprit
Buildings are responsible for approximately half of all US energy consumption and CO2 emissions annually. Building operations alone, i.e., heating, cooling, lighting, hot water and the plug load, account for 48% of total US CO2 emissions and 76% of total US electricity consumption. Therefore, to have any real impact on climate change, it is essential to address CO2 emissions in the Building Sector.
The Questions:
- How is Climate Change effecting the creation of new materials?
- Energy efficiency and the new built environment
- What are the Investment Opportunities in this new environment?
Entrepreneurial Response:
Marc Porat and his team are pioneering the effort in suggesting and creating new approaches to built material and methodologies to suit our changing climate.
